Excellence through Effort & Enjoyment
'Kind words, Kind deeds, Kind thoughts'

When The Tiger Came To Tea

What happened when the tiger sent a message to Reception Class

Last week we started reading the story, 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' and discussed as a class how unfair it would be if someone ate all of our snack, like the tiger did in the story.

Then on Friday, we received a message from the tiger, who told us that he had popped by for tea last night. As we weren't there, he wanted to come back to eat all of our snack! What could we do to stop him? Reception got to work with huge amounts of excitement and enthusiasm. We made traps to stop the tiger, wrote messages and signs to tell him about our snack table rules and prepared a tea for the tiger.

We succeeded in our mission, as the tiger wrote us a letter to apologise and told us he wouldn't come to eat our snack.
