Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium Strategy
Pupil Premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.
You can find more information about the Pupil Premium here.
In February 2021, the government announced a one-off recovery premium as part of its package of funding to support education recovery. This provided additional funding for state-funded schools, initially during the 2021-2022 academic year; to date (Spring 2024) this funding has continued. Building on the pupil premium, this funding will help schools to deliver evidence-based approaches for supporting disadvantaged pupils.
Our current Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium strategy is attached below. It is a three-year plan, to enable us to think strategically about sustainable projects, but it is checked and updated annually.
