Every year, we are invited to plant bulbs in different locations in the village, as part of the Parish Council's ongoing "Boughton In Bloom" project.
This year, we will be going out to plant on Monday 30th October and Wednesday 1st November, with each class having a timetabled slot (see table, below).
The children will need:
- coats. warm outdoor clothing
- outdoor footwear, e.g. wellies or trainers, and a CHANGE OF FOOTWEAR for indoors as the ground is likely to be muddy.
We are asking for parent/grandparent volunteers to join us. In line with our safer recruitment processes, all volunteers will be under the direct supervision of class teachers and staff with DBS, and won't be alone with children at any time. We will not be able to accommodate pre-school children or buggies for this event, as our focus will need to be the safety and supervision of the children in each class.
If you are able to help, please email your child's class teacher directly. The days and times for each class are below. We expect each class to need around 45 minutes or so to walk to and from their location and plant the bulbs. Reception and their Year 6 chums will go together on Monday morning.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support, and make sure you look out for the blooms in the spring!
