We are hoping to recruit an army of volunteer readers, to support the continuous development of reading at Boughton Primary School.
Can you or a member of your family (over 18) offer an hour per week, EVERY week, in term time?
If so, we need your help!
There are a few important points to note:
- in line with our Safer Recruitment processes, all volunteers will need a DBS check before they start. This comes at a cost to the school, so we need a regular, weekly commitment rather than an offer of one-off help.
- volunteers will be listening to readers in a class other than their child's class
- pre-school children and babies cannot be accommodated during the reading sessions
- the use of mobile phones is not allowed whilst working with/in the vicinity of the children.

We will be in contact with all volunteers after half-term, to advise you of the processes for arranging your DBS check. Once all checks are in place, we will issue a timetable.
